Developing pathway

Community-led development

Start with evidence. Build with people. Close the loop.

A disciplined route for needs assessment, local ownership, realistic resourcing, delivery evidence and transparent closeout.

The pathway

From interest to accountable action.

Every stage must be usable before the Foundation describes the pathway as active delivery.

01

Listen and verify

Understand the need with affected people and distinguish evidence from assumptions.

02

Design with ownership

Define scope, responsibilities, safeguarding, resources, risks and what happens after delivery.

03

Deliver accountably

Use approved people and partners, document changes and protect private community information.

04

Measure and close

Report what happened, what did not, how resources were used and what remains to be learned.

What this can include

Defined activities—not vague promises.

Activities proceed only when the required people, safeguards, resources and approval are in place.

Health and learning environments

Appropriately scoped improvements connected to approved health, education or youth programs.

Digital and physical access

Community capability, information access and practical infrastructure considered with maintenance in mind.

Livelihood resilience

Skills and local economic participation designed around realistic demand and responsible partnerships.

SDG-informed planning

The UN Sustainable Development Goals may help map outcomes but do not imply UN affiliation or endorsement.

Public promise boundary

What this pathway does not promise.

  • No public campaign until need verification, consent, custodian, target and closeout controls are approved.
  • No claim of community ownership without documented local participation.
  • No United Nations or partner affiliation without a real written relationship.
  • No success claim based only on money spent, items delivered or photographs taken.
